Search podcasts
You know what a podcast is, right? After all, even the Daily Telegraph has discovered them.
Well, here's a way of searching for words and phrases that have been used in these audio programmes. You just type the word or words you are looking for into PODZINGER and up comes a list of podcasts and a rough transcript of the section of the podcast where your word appeared. Click on a little arrow by the side of the transcript, and you hear that section of the podcast, or you can download the whole thing or subscribe so that you get all future editions.
Four out of the five I tried failed to connect, unfortunately, being unavailable or overloaded, but that's in the nature of the podcast experience. A brilliant gadget, all the same.
