This site belongs to John Morrish, writer and editor. I have been a journalist since 1979 and in that time I have worked on and written for many magazines and newspapers in the UK. I was editor of Time Out in London, a commissioning editor on the Telegraph Magazine and sole sub-editor on Private Eye.
One of my special interests is language. I have published two books on that theme, Frantic Semantics and More Frantic Semantics, both currently offered through Amazon for an impressive 1p each.
I write columns on interesting words in Management Today and The Tablet, for whom I am also television critic. My book on editorship, Magazine Editing, is still in print, and is currently being translated into Russian.
These days I spend a lot of my time editing music books for Backbeat Books and Jawbone Press, but I am always interested in journalistic work. I can be contacted by telephone (01242 541967) or by email: mail@johnmorrish.com
